Food Truck Permits

 

A Food Truck Permit application must be submitted through the Township of Wyckoff Fire Bureau for each vendor participating in every event. This requirement is in accordance with N.J.A.C. 5:70-2.7(a). This permit applies to food trailers and food trucks, which are synonymous with mobile canteen units.

Application Requirements:

  • Completed Food Truck Permit Application
  • Current Vehicle Registration Card
  • Current Vehicle Insurance Card
  • Current Business General Liability Insurance
  • Current Inspection report for hood suppression system

Type-1 Permit Fee: $54.00

Inspection and Compliance:

  • An inspection will take place on site of the event once setup. No operations maybe preformed until inspection is completed and permit issued.
  • As per N.J.A.C. 5:70-2.7(f), the fire official has the authority to deny or revoke a permit at any time during the event.
  • This action may be taken due to failure to meet the permit conditions, unabated fire code violations, or unsafe conditions identified during the inspection.

In conjunction of the Food Truck Permit though the Wyckoff Fire Prevention Bureau, a Temporary Food Event application, fee and inspection needs to be completed as well through the Health Department. Please see link below for application and full requirements.
